Real history told as a story, the people and places that give a country its character, and the calm of having every detail handled, from your first morning to your last.
Context that makes a place make sense, never a list of dates. As a historian, I've spent years learning to tell a country's story so it stays with you.
Alongside the landmarks you came for, it's the people you meet and the quiet moments in between that tend to stay with you. Finding those is the part I love most.
I work hard so the details never land on you. Clear timings, steady support, and an unhurried pace that lets each day breathe so you can simply take it in.
I've guided travellers across Europe for more than fifteen years. I was born in Ukraine, grew up in Australia, and studied history at the University of Adelaide. What makes a journey memorable, I've come to believe, is rarely the list of sights. It's the people you share it with, and having someone alongside who knows how to bring a place to life.
My job, quite simply, is to handle the details so you can relax and take it in. The best of any country is usually what you'd never find on your own: the family table down an unmarked road, or the cellar that's been in the same hands for generations. Knowing where those doors are, and opening them for you, is the heart of what I do.
